Our Pre-K provides care and learning for children ages 4 -6 years old. Our Pre-K program is designed to prepare children for the transition to kindergarten while fostering their curiosity, imagination and love for learning. Our Pre-K program is aligned with the NYS common core standards for learning to prepare children with the necessary skills to succeed. This program builds on our preschool program. In addition to our usual arts and crafts, dramatic play, outdoor play, building with blocks and exploring spacial reasoning through puzzles, we build on their math, reading, science and writing skills through a variety of interactive and hand on activities. We are also proud to utilize the Frontline Phonics reading and writing readiness program that boasts a 98 % success rate after 14 weeks of instruction. Like all of our programs we offer weekly enrichment classes such as art, spanish, music, yoga and dance as well as community based activities that range from an aquarium visit, touch a truck, petting zoo and so much more. Our goal is to create creative, exciting and stimulating learning opportunities to foster each child’s innate ability and curiosity to learn while creating a classroom that builds on a sense of community to foster friendships and positive peer relationships. Our teachers are dedicated to developing the skills they need to transition to kindergarten and differentiating the curriculum to tailor it to each child’s personal needs.
Our Pre-K is equipped with a technology center that offers a computer and tablets in which children can acquire basic technology skills through fun interactive learning games.
In the afternoon the children are given an opportunity to rest or nap where they will be able to unwind allowing them the opportunity to be physically, emotionally and cognitively ready for the remainder of their day. Lastly our classrooms are equipped with security cameras to ensure your child’s safety.
