Nutrition

Your child’s nutrition is very important to us. We know that good nutrition is essential to good health and development as well as creating healthy eating habits. We take great pride in providing a home cooked lunch as well as two healthy snacks each day. We know that children’s appetites can come and go, they may eat a lot one day and barley nothing the next day as well as what they currently like may change the following day. This is why we try to offer a variety of food choices as well as we work with the parents if they have specific requests. We are also very aware that many children have food allergies.

For the safety of all the students that attend our center we do not serve common allergies related food such as eggs, peanuts, strawberries or shell fish. We also ask that parents do not send in these items for the safety of the other children in the school. Since we care for children so young they are often not aware of their allergies and may reach for their peers home brought food creating a potentially dangerous situation. We ask that all parents be mindful of common allergy foods when sending in food. Following sample menus are as follows.
